has anyone done one on their pistol, or could point me in the direction of a smith that could hook me up?
Ideally I would like to put a nice 12" something on it to achieve an accurate little rabbit slayer |

well, seeing as how no one else has responded over the months, here's my $0.02 worth.
i am looking to add a longer barrel to my own m110. it looks as if the carbine .22 barrel will fit into the 110, but it would have to be machined. I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS!! the carbine barrel does not have the same machined pin slots on the underside of the barrel that the 110 barrel does; these would have to be added. but, it looks as if it might work....
my brother and i have been planning to do this for years, but we have never gotten around to it. but yes, the tiny barrel as supplied is good for some things, but long distance accuracy? nope. needs a longer barrel. |

On the original concept the barrel was 12" with a small handgrip similar to that on the rifle.
I don't know why that config was never offered, or if it was offered, where to get one.
It honestly looks like they originally simply took a rifle and cut it back, crowned the barrel, and also modifyed the handgrip by taking part of it off, then sliding the front sight assembly back on.
I could be wrong...but it's the best guess I have.

The dirty little secret of the one is, it is not an M-100, it is an M-10. _________________ =-> Calico M-100S & M-10 pistol <-= |

Can you post some pictures of yours? Where and when did you get yours? _________________ "An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life."

"The LaFrance Specialties M100 Calico pistol was custom built from a M100 rifle and registered as a pistol. "
I'd love to know how they got away with that one myself...lol
But then, at the time, the Model number 100 referred to BOTH the pistol & the rifle...there was only a "P" stamp added on to the pistols.
So TECHNICALLY...I suppose one could do the same thing, add the "P" stamp to their M-100 and get away with it, but if the ATF ever found out it could be considered an SBR, if you didn't do it properly.
I think it's similar to what happened with the Grendel P-31/R-31 issues...the P-31 was a short barrel version of the R-31. I think it has something to do with the forward handgrip...or something with Bill Clinton's Gun Ban...not sure which.
It's beyond me anyway...I just buy 'em like I find 'em & make sure they cycle properly _________________ I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6 |
